I started using Photoshop in one of my first jobs but I never really got into it very much, I learned some simple which was all that was needed for the job but I wasn't really into any shows then as passionately as I am now so I never felt the need to use PS for any other reason then. But when I got keen on the internet in November 2002 Photoshop was one of the first things I got. Maybe by the beginning of 2003 I was really getting the hang of it!

So many people inspired me making art and helped me loads, one of the biggest contributors was Jenni Lou. She gave me loads of help and encouragement and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be where I am now!

faq

How long have you been making artwork?
I’ve been making art roughly since November 2002. I managed to get Photoshop on my computer and having loved looking at other’s work for so long I was desperate to get started making my own!

Did you have any lessons?
I had no lessons at all while learning Photoshop. I used a few web based tutorials and had some help from friends. Tutorials and practical experience is the best way to learn, it really sticks with you more.

When did you start making websites?
In June of 2003 I got a new Internet Service Provider who gave me 50 mg of webspace so I started from there with a little site called ‘In The Dark’. In August I brought my first domain 'caughtindarkness.net’ and was hosted at Lunarpages for a year before I brought Misplaced.co.uk in September 2004, I decided to move and start afresh with Belladonna in 2008.

Can I display your work?
I’d be very honoured if you would like to display my art elsewhere, but would really like to be asked first (it’s only polite!) I will say yes, but I would like to know where my art is up. My only rule is that it’s not changed in anyway and has a link back to me.

Can you tell me how you did..?
I get a lot of emails asking how I did something and I'm always happy to give a few guides, so do email me.

I always try to help people with this question, so please contact me if you have any questions on a certain piece and I’ll do my best to help you.
